Membership Includes Fireworks — The Good Kind!
I know I’ve said this before, but membership really does include fireworks—the good kind. Summer is one of the best times to be a Member of Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center.
There is a special energy around City Springs this time of year. The crowds are bigger, the evenings stretch a little longer, and the campus becomes a gathering place for some of our most memorable community celebrations. For our Members, summer is also a reminder of what this program is really about: not just perks, but access, connection, and the chance to experience the PAC in a more personal way.
Many people first discover membership because of the City View Terrace, and for good reason. It is one of the most distinctive ways to enjoy events at City Springs. Whether you are overlooking City Green Live, taking in the atmosphere of a Signature Event, or sharing the evening with friends before a performance, the Terrace has become one of those places that Members return to again and again.
And on July 4, it becomes something even more special.
Our Stars and Stripes Terrace Party has become one of the most popular events of the year, and it is easy to understand why. There is simply no better place to take in the Sandy Springs fireworks celebration than from the Terrace. This year, the evening is made even more memorable with a concert by Don McLean before the fireworks begin, celebrating the 250th year of the United States. It’s the kind of night that captures so much of what we want Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center to be: festive, welcoming, elevated, and deeply connected to the life of our community.
That is one of the reasons membership matters. It creates opportunities to experience nights like these in a way that feels a little more relaxed, a little more celebratory, and a little more like you are part of something bigger.
Membership Perks
Of course, membership goes well beyond a single event.
Over the past year, Members have enjoyed early access to tickets for PAC-presented shows, giving them the first opportunity to secure some of the best seats in Byers Theatre. They have had access to special hospitality experiences, including Terrace and Veranda events, and invitations to Member gatherings designed to bring people together in ways that feel both fun and meaningful.
Some of my favorite moments have come from those smaller Member experiences like pop-up events, tastings, and seasonal gatherings that create real conversation and a real sense of belonging. And let’s not forget the view of the Sparkle Parade from the Terrace!
That sense of connection is what I hear about most often. Members appreciate the practical benefits, certainly, but they also value being part of a community around the PAC. They see familiar faces. They introduce friends and family to events they love. They get a closer view of the work we are doing to make this a vibrant home for performances, celebrations, and shared civic life.
As we move through the summer, this is also a particularly exciting moment to join or renew because another favorite Member tradition is just around the corner.
In August, we will welcome Members to our season launch party, where they will get a first look at what is ahead for the next season at Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center. It is always one of the most anticipated Member events we host — a chance to preview the performances, experiences, and special moments in store, before the broader public gets the full picture. For many of our Members, it is the event that sets the tone for the year ahead.
That is why this is such a good time to take another look at membership.
